Our sweet friend Alaina sent us a package. Again!. You can´t be any sweeter. Here we are seconds after opening the package, he got so excited too. Here you can see him using everything This was so fun! This were instant pictures of the moment. I will take more pictures of my presents. I will be a single model for you!
We heart you Alaina!. (Its so funny my mother doesn´t understand where do I know you from!!! she is far away from internet!)

Flu

A week ago a pandemia was declared here. It´s an unusual situation, nobody knows exactly what to do, but they declared a month without schools, kindergarden or daycare for everybody. Complete caos for those with children and a job.
So here we are, working it out. Thanksfully we have the grandparents to help. It´s to cold to get out everyday. No theaters, no malls, no supermarkets, any place that is crowded is suggested no to attend. So we try to play at home, painting, books, magazines, toys, cars and yes too much TV and youtube.
At the beginning I was a little scared and angry. Nobody care about people in my situation, alone with my kid, a random job with no free flu days… If I don´t work I don´t have money, so…. We are doing great, my kid is the best, he has adapted so far to this scenario. We are having a really goodtime. And working a lot overnight.
Now the problem is another: maybe I can loose my “main job” That is really scary.
Those are the pictures of our day in the building roof. It´s sort of a terrace. T played with a little neighbour and enjoyed very much the fact that they were building a doghouse. You know guy´s stuff!

La gripe A y las madres

Entramos en la peor fase de la gripe esta nueva. Se intensificó el invierno y todos enferman. Hasta yo tuve 39 grados de fiebre dos días. Es tan incómodo enfermarse y tener un niño a cargo que espera todo de vos…. La abuela lo cuidó y entendió un poco que yo tenía que dormir un poco y que no podíamos estar muy cerca. Qué difícil todo!, no poder turnarse con el papá para que ayude, siento que lo estoy dejando abandonado, solito.
Después empezó la psicosis en los medios con la epidemia, yo tenía todos los síntomas, que hago si me enfermo? como hago para no contagiarlo? me tengo que ir a un hotel? y si me muero?. Sí, todo eso pensé mientras volaba de fiebre. Ver ese tipo de noticias con tanta fiebre no es recomendable.
Fui al médico y esta todo bien, parece. Que haga reposo, todo lo que pueda, gracioso, no? Ni siquiera embarazada reposé yo.

Ahora ya un poco mejor, sin la fiebre, pero con un cansancio extremo y me cuesta un poco respirar, pero no sé si son síntomas o es la angustia de que suspendieron las clases. 1 mes sin jardín. TODO 1 mes.
Lo que no se suspendieron son las obligaciones, los trabajos y las cuentas que hay que pagar. Nadie pensó por un segundo en quiénes van a cuidar a los chicos que no van a las escuelas y a las guarderías y qué garantías van a dar para que eso suceda. Mi caso no es tan grave porque no cumplo horarios, pero si no trabajo no facturo.
Es todo una mezcla de desconocimiento, miedo, psicosis y decisiones políticas mediocres. Si se suspenden las clases, deberían suspenderse actividades donde se amontone gente, gimnasios, espectáculos, shoppings… pero eso no conviene. Saquemos a los chicos de las escuelas porque las mamás los van a cuidar obviamente. A las madres una vez más no las cuida nadie. Esperemos que pase pronto y que duela poco. A todos.
